How to make a seamless Instagram carousel on iPhone
Arrange your photos on one continuous canvas, then export it as a sequence of slides. In Polara, you can place photos across slide boundaries and preview the flow before sharing.
What makes a carousel seamless?
A regular carousel treats each picture as its own slide. A seamless carousel connects them: a photograph, background, or piece of text continues across a slide boundary. The composition feels like one story as someone swipes.
You do not need every photograph to cross an edge. A shared background and a few carefully placed overlaps can connect a whole set while leaving each individual slide readable.
1. Choose photos that belong together
Start with a small set from the same trip, afternoon, or subject. Mix a wider scene with closer details so the sequence has variation. Put the photo that introduces the story first.
Import the pictures you want to use into Polara. Keeping the selection focused makes it easier to build a composition without filling every available space.
2. Build across the slide boundaries
Choose a background, then arrange your photos across the canvas. Try moving one photograph across a boundary to link two slides. Keep faces and important details away from the split so each slide also makes sense on its own.
Use the interactive Polara demo to experiment with a photograph, different background textures, and a sticker before opening the app. The demo uses sample artwork; it is not an export tool.
3. Add frames, text, and stickers
A frame can separate a photograph from a busy background. A short caption can supply the detail the image cannot: a place, date, or small memory. Use stickers where they help connect the composition, leaving enough room for the photographs.
4. Preview one slide at a time
Before exporting, move through the sequence and check:
- The opening slide clearly introduces the story.
- Faces, captions, and important details remain understandable at the boundaries.
- Text is readable at phone size.
- The composition still feels connected as you move between slides.
5. Export and share in order
Export your slides from Polara, then select the exported images in sequence when creating your Instagram carousel. Review the post preview before publishing, especially the order and any cropping applied by the destination app.
Polara creates images on your device. It does not automatically publish to Instagram; you choose what to share and where.
What happens to your photos?
Polara stores imported photos and projects on your device and does not require a Polara account. Online sticker searches connect to KLIPY, and Apple handles purchases. The Polara privacy policy explains those services separately.
